Der spektakulärste Blick auf den Berliner Gendarmenmarkt lässt sich vom Restaurant Amici geniessen. Dies hat sich inzwischen nicht nur unter den zahlreichen Stammgästen, sondern auch unter den Touristen herumgesprochen, die offenbar, die guten Erfahrungen, die sie mit dem gleichwohl gemütlichen, wie auch stylischen Lokal gemacht haben, in die Heimat transportieren. Zuletzt konnte man dies eindrucksvoll vor einigen Tagen beim Open-Air Konzert der Söhne Mannheims beobachten, als sämtliche Plätze schon ab Mittags besetzt waren. http://www.amici-berlin.de/
Viele der Gäste, die nur wegen der legendären romantischen Aussicht und wegen des Auftritts der Band ins Amici kamen, mögen sich gleich doppelt gefreut haben. Denn ebenso positiv bleibt die Kochkunst in Erinnerung. Seltene frisch zubereitete Nudelgerichte, wie zB. Bigoli Ragout, finden sich auch auf der Mittagskarte, die überdies mit Gerichten von 5,90 Euro für die Location und die Qualität sehr günstig ausfällt.
Das aufwendige Innendekor hat übrigens der bekannte italienische Schmuckdesigner und Mitinhaber Guliano Corolli mitgestaltet. Seine Ideen mussten dabei sorgsam mit den städtischen Vorgaben abgestimmt werden, da das Gebäude unter Denkmalschutz steht. Ein Geheimtipp ist auch das Spiegelzimmer im ersten Stock, das originalgetreu erhalten geblieben ist und in dem eins DDR Granden feierten.

The spectacular view of the Berlin Gendarmenmarkt can be enjoyed from the Restaurant Amici. This not only got about among the regular guests, but also among the tourists, who are obviously spreading the word in their homes about the great experience they made with this comfortable yet stylish venue. Many of the guest who only came because of the legendary romantic view and because of the performance of the band at the Amici, might have enjoyed it doubly. That’s because the cooking sticks in an equally great way in the memory. Rare, freshly prepared meals, like for example Bigoli Ragout, can be found on the lunch-menu, which on top of that lunch prizes of about 5,90 euros come of very generous considering the location and the quality. Apropos, the elaborate interior décor was made under the aid of the popular Italian jewelry-designer and co-owner Guilano Corolli. His ideas had to be brought into agreement with the city standards because the building is under monumental protection. By the way, an insiders’ tip is the mirror room on the first floor, which remained true to the original and was used for DDR Grandees once.
