Nach 2,5 jähriger Vorbereitung reiste die freie Journalistin und Filmemacherin Susanne Philip
p mit einem 4-köpfigen Team im August 2012 nach Peru. Fashionact Industries Inc. hat darüber berichtet.
Seit der Reise nach Peru im August 2012 ist viel passiert. Das Abenteuer, bei dem uns Wari Idun – die Tochter von Ashaninca Oberhaupt Kecizate Atahuallpa begleitet hat, war für das gesamte Team eine große Herausforderung und hat uns alle nachhaltig geprägt. Die Eindrücke, die wir mitgenommen und die liebenswerten Menschen, die wir getroffen haben, sind uns im Herzen immer präsent. Zudem sind wir auf neue Problematiken im Land gestoßen, die unser Projekt zusätzlich in eine weitere Richtung gebracht haben, die wir nun ebenfalls thematisieren wollen.
Die Produktion wurde bisher komplett aus freien Mitteln, privaten Investoren, Crowdfunding und dem unermüdlichen, unentgeltlichen Arbeitseinsatz unseres Teams finanziert und war in erster Linie als soziales Projekt angedacht, um Menschen hier in Europa aufzurütteln, sich mehr mit den Belangen der indigenen Bevölkerung in Peru zu verbinden und Zusammenhänge zu hinterfragen, über die hier in Europa wenig bekannt ist, die aber unser alltägliches Leben betreffen und gleichzeitig große negative Auswirkungen auf das Leben der Menschen in Peru haben.
Da alle Teammitglieder aus dem Medienbereich kommen und sich seit Jahren mit der Glamourwelt, Models, Film, Schönheit und Reichtum auseinandersetzen, war es für alle eine wichtige Lebenserfahrung fernab Menschen zu treffen, die am Rande dieses Lebens ihr Dasein bestreiten und durch unsere Gier nach Rohstoffen ihres Lebensraumes bedroht und dessen beraubt werden. Sie leiden unter dem Verlust der Natur, Kultur und Umweltverschmutzung.
Dies wird vor allem hervorgerufen durch den Extraktivismus in Peru, von dem die indigenen Stämme in den Anden und im Amazonas betroffen sind. Sie werden durch den Abbau von Gas, Öl und Gold, das wir in unsere Dokumentation auf Grund der Brisanz noch eingebaut haben, stark ausgebeutet und ihrem Lebensraum und der wundervollen Natur nicht nur beraubt, sondern auch vertrieben.
Nach unserer Rückkehr von Peru haben wir uns bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch mit Friedensaktivisten, Umweltschützern, Hilfsorganisationen und Politikern, u. a. auch Hans Christian Ströbele vom Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, getroffen und Interviews zu der problematischen Lage geführt.
Viele Fachleute haben uns somit Unterstützung zur Umsetzung eines sehr bedeutenden Dokumentarfilmes gegeben.

After preparing herself for 2,5 years, the freelance journalist and film maker Susanne Philipp traveled to Peru with a team consisting of four people in August, 2012. Fashionact Industries Inc. followed her actions.
Since the journey to Peru in August, a lot has happened. The adventure during with War Idun – the daughter of Kecizate Atahuallpa, the sachem of the Indian tribe Ashaninca – accompanied us was a real challenge for the entire team and influenced us to a great extent. The impressions which we could take home and the lovely people we met will always be present in our hearts. In addition, we also stumbled across many problems in this exotic country which pushed our project into another direction which we would like to deal with as well.
The production has been completely funded with the help of our own capital, private investors and crowd funding. Of course, our un-paid enormous work input of the entire team contributed a lot to the implementation of our plans. Meant to be of a social purpose, the project was brought to life in order to draw the attention of Europeans to the interests of Peru’s indigenous peoples. We want to make Europe aware of the sadly little-known connection we have to the lives of the native tribes in Peru. Globalisation indeed has a very ugly face.
Since each team member is active in the media branch and has been wandering about in the glamour world for years filled with models, films, beauty and wealth, we couldn’t be more thankful for the important experience to meet people who live on the fringe of humankind. We met people who are being robbed of their habitat and homes just because of our greed for raw materials. These peoples suffer from the loss of their environment, culture and from pollution.
After returning to Germany, we encountered peace activists, environmentalists, aid groups and politicians including Hans Christian Ströbele from the German political party The Grünen to interviewing them in regard to this issue.
In the end, many experts have given us their support to implement a very stirring documentary.
