Pele Che Coco ist in Kopenhagen, wie auch in London, gleichermaßen zu Hause. Das Label hat sich aber der ganzen Welt verschrieben. Insbesondere der Welt als überlasteter Anbieter von Ressourcen. Das Team, bestehend aus Sophie Schandorff als Designerin und Dan Vaarskov als Manager, fokussiert also stark auf Recycling und versucht damit, ihre Kollektionen zu einer Freude für die Träger/innen und auch die Umwelt zu machen. Dabei wird besonders gerne altes Leder verwendet und neu entdeckt und eingesetzt.
Pele Che Coco stellt daraus Kleidung für sowohl Männer als auch Frauen her. Darüber hinaus entwirft das Label auch Taschen selbst. Alle Kreationen behalten dabei einen rockigen und auch sehr verführerischen Charakter bei. Die Inspiration durch Subkulturen ist also nicht zu übersehen.
Mit den Kollektionen wird praktisch zur Rebellion aufgerufen. Lederjacken und -hotpants, Camouflage und zerrissene Jeans, zusammen mit klobigen Schuhen – die neue Kollektion für Frühling und Sommer 2014 birgt den typischen „Fuck-Off-Charakter“ der Punks. Für Herbst und Winter hingegen wird mehr auf Biker gesetzt. Die Lederjacken sind bauchfrei oder ärmellos und zackiger geschnitten. Pele Che Coco lässt bei allen Kollektionen einen rebellischen Charakter aufkommen, der alleine beim Anschauen mitreißt. Die Designs sind sehr selbstsicher und überzeugen mit viel Ausstrahlung.

Pele Che Coco is based in Copenhagen, as well as in London. Nonetheless, this label devoted itself to the whole world, particularly to the world where resources are used by us as if they are limitlessly available. The team which is constituted of Sophie Schandorff as the designer and Dan Vaarskov as the manager heavily focuses on recycling. They’re trying to please the wearers, while still avoiding damage to the environment with their collections. Meanwhile, old leather is being rediscovered and put into use.
Pele Che Coco is fabricating clothing out of this material for men and women. Furthermore, the label is also designing its bags on its own. All creations are still maintaining a rocking and seductive vibe. It’s hard to miss the influence and inspiration from certain subcultures.
These collections are practically calling up for a rebellion. Leather jackets and leather hot pants, camouflage and rugged jeans, paired with clunky shoes – the new collection for Spring and Summer 2014 contains the typical “Fuck-Off Attitude” of the Punks. Fall and winter then again make us think of bikers. The leather jacket is cropped and sleeveless with a jagged cut. Pele Che Coco gives every collection a rebellious tone which will catch your sight immediately. The designs are quite rebellious and they lead everyone’s eyes onto the wearer. The designs seem pretty reckless and also seem to bear a bunch of expressions.
