Hey Beauties.
Heute habe ich euch die Januarsbox aus der BoB-Serie von Douglas mitgebracht.
Sicherlich haben Boxliebhaber schon mitbekommen, dass es auch zum neuen Jahr keine weiteren Änderungen im System geben wird. Für alle, die neu in der Boxenwelt sind: Douglas wirbt damit, dass man bei ihnen, anders als bei Glossybox; Pinkbox etc., die Produkte frei auswählen darf. Es gab lediglich ein festgelegtes Hauptprodukt. Die 4 bis 5 Luxusproben jedoch, durften eigenhändig selektiert werden.
Ich persönlich glaube ja, dass das ein unheimlich raffiniertes Marketing-Tool ist, denn seit einigen Monaten gibt es bei Douglas nur noch Überraschungsboxen (angeblich auf Grund von technischen Problemen) genauso wie bei den anderen Anbietern.
Die jetzigen Boxen sind nicht schlecht, nur manchmal etwas einseitig.
Doch seht selbst.
Das Hauptprodukt war in diesem Monat von Origins.

Das Hauptprodukt war auch gleichzeitig das Highlight der gesamten Box. Das einzig Originelle war die Diesel Loverdose Brieftasche, die zur Abwechslung nicht für die Hautpflege gedacht war.
Für 10€ pro Box ist das okay, aber nicht bahnbrechend. Aber das kommt wahrscheinlich hauptsächlich daher, weil man einfach Besseres gewohnt ist von Douglas.

Hello fellow beauty lovers.
My Box of Beauty by Douglas arrived on my desk a couple of days ago and I thought I’d show you the content.
You may or may not have heard, but the system regarding the box won’t change anytime soon. For those who are new to this world of beauty boxes: Douglas used to have a wicked system in which you could actually choose your samples. This was the outstanding feature that distinguished it from other brands. There was one fixed main product but you could hand pick the 4-5 additional samples.
I personally think that this whole concept was an incredible marketing tool because now they only offer surprise boxes due to “technical problems”. The boxes are not bad, just a little bit monotone.
This month’s box fixed main product was from Origins. The Cheeks and Balances Cleanser is the highlight of the whole box. The 4 samples are mainly skincare-related except for the Loverdose purse by Diesel.
I guess the content is okay for 10 bucks a box. But it’s not rocking my boat either. That’s mainly because I’m used to a little bit more quality from Douglas.
