Der Straftäter: ein 19-jähriger „League of Legends“- Zocker namens Justin Carter
Justin Carter kam mit einem seiner Mitspieler des Online Games League of Legends in einen Streit, welcher auf Facebook dann weiter ausgetragen wurde.
Der Mitspieler nannte ihn „verrückt“, woraufhin Justin antwortete:
“I’m fucked in the head alright. I think I’ma shoot up a kindergarten and watch the blood of the innocent rain down and eat the beating heart of one of them.”
“Ja, ich bin krank im Kopf. Ich glaub ich geh in einen Kindergarten, knalle alle ab, schaue zu, wie es unschuldiges Blut regnet und esse dann das noch schlagende Herz eines der Kinder“.
Das alles passierte nicht lange nach dem „Sandy Hook“-Drama, als ein Amokläufer ein Blutbad in einer Grundschule beging. Bekanntlich ist in den USA mit terroristischen Drohungen überhaupt nicht zu scherzen.
Die besorgte Mutter des Mitspielers meldete die Nachricht von Justin Carter der Polizei.
Kurz darauf sitzt Justin Carter auch schon in U-Haft, wo ihm eine anonyme Person $500.000 spendet, damit er bis zum Urteil auf freiem Fuß bleiben kann. Dass Justin Carter nach seinem schwerwiegenden Post „LOL“ und „JK“ (JK = just kidding, ich mache Witze) zusätzlich schrieb, interessiert in dem Falle das Gericht nicht und so ist auch sein Anwalt mehr oder weniger machtlos.
Gespannt warte ich nun auf das endgültige Urteil, welches in den nächsten Monaten gefällt wird. Ich denke, hier wird völlig übertrieben auf eine Facebook Nachricht eines wütenden Teenagers reagiert. Es ist nichts Neues, dass junge Leute dazu neigen, sehr viel Mist zu labern und im Großen und Ganzen kann ich Justin Carters Mutter nur zustimmen: Sie sagt nämlich, dieser gesamte Prozess sei eine Verschwendung von Zeit und Geld. Weiterhin werde das amerikanische Rechtssystem ausgenutzt, um ein Kind brutal zu bestrafen – und warum das alles? Weil er aus Wut etwas sehr Dummes im Internet geschrieben hat.

Justin Carter got into a fight with one of his teammates in the online game League of Legends, which then continued on FaceBook. His teammate called him “crazy”, he then replied:
“I’m fucked in the head alright. I think I’ma shoot up a kindergarten and watch the blood of the innocent rain down and eat the beating heart of one of them.”
All this happened shortly after the Sandy Hook Drama when a juvenile running amok caused a massacre by shooting up children at an elementary school. As we all know, the USA doesn’t take terrorist threats and jokes lightly.
The teammate’s worried mother informed the police about Justin Carter’s message.
Moments later, Justin Carter was in jail already where an anonymous person donated $500.000 to bail him out until the verdict has been made. In this case, the court does not seem to care that Justin Carter also wrote “LOL” and “JK” (just kidding) in addition to his serious post on Facebook and so his attorney also is more or less helpless.
I’m anxiously awaiting the final verdict, which will be made in the coming months. I think the judge is completely overreacting, ultimately it is just a Facebook message an angry teenager wrote. It’s nothing new for young people to talk a lot of trash and in conclusion I can only agree with Justin Carter’s mother: She says the whole process is a waste of time and money, moreover the American law is being abused to brutally punish children – and why? Just because he wrote something really stupid out of anger on the Internet.
