Gaming-Tipp: “Game Dev Tycoon” – Ein Spiel, in dem man Spiele macht! (+English version)

Game Dev Tycoon ist ein Spiel, in dem man die Geschichte der Gaming-Industrie von Anfang an bis heute noch einmal erleben kann. Durch ständige Updates bleiben im Spiel die Konsolen und Trends sogar topaktuell!
Natürlich rücken die großen Hersteller wie Sony, Microsoft und Nintendo keine Lizenzrechte für die Namen ihrer Konsolen heraus. Deswegen sind die Namen Anspielungen auf die jeweilige Konsole, bei manchen musste ich wirklich lachen. So wird aus SEGA einfach VENA, aus Sony wird Vonny und aus dem ikonenhaften iPhone wird einfach ein grPhone. Denn die Firma hinter dem grPhone heißt „Grapple“.
Doch kommen wir zum Spiel selbst, die Independant-Spiele-Hersteller Greenheart Games haben sich sehr viel einfallen lassen, damit man den Spaß daran nicht verliert.
Ich habe eine Auswahl von über 20 unterschiedlichen Themen – von Musik bis hin zu Zombies. All diese Themen lassen sich dann nach Herzenslust kombinieren mit beliebigen Konsolen und Genres, wie zum Beispiel Action oder Strategie. Natürlich sind auch hier wieder die bösen Magazine am Werk, die dann dein wunderschönes Spiel bewerten! Und hier wird das Ganze wirklich tricky: Könnt ihr herausfinden, welches Thema und welches Genre in der Vergangenheit am beliebtesten war? Nehme ich nun den Computer oder das grPhone für ein Strategiespiel, gebe ich viel Geld für super Grafik aus oder will ich bessere Story für ein Action-Spiel? Wie alt muss die Zielgruppe sein?
Es gibt bestimmt millionen von Arten, die ganzen Magazine mit eurem Spiel zu befriedigen – und ab dann wird verkauft! Mit den unendlich vielen Methoden kommt auch unendlich viel Spaß, den das supergünstige Spiel bereitet. Man kann es hin und wieder wirklich mehrere Stunden spielen!

Game Dev Tycoon is a game where you can experience the history of gaming from the moment it was born. With continuous updates, the game always has the latest consoles and trends!
Of course the big boys of gaming like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo won’t hand over the licenses to use their console names for free. That’s why the console names in Game Dev Tycoon only give us a ‘hint’ which developer or console it could represent, and sometimes I really had to laugh at the creative names they came up with. SEGA becomes VENA, Sony becomes VONNY and the iconic iPhone simple becomes the grPhone. Because the company behind the grPhone is called “Grapple”
However, let me tell you some things about the game now. The indie developers at Greenheart Games came up with countless ideas to keep you entertained for a really long time.
I can pick from over 20 different themes, from music to zombies. All those themes can be combined with consoles and a genre like action or strategy as you wish. Obviously, Greenheart Games did not leave out the evil magazines rating your game! And that’s where the game gets quite tricky: Can you find out which theme and genre were the most popular in the past? If I create a strategy game, will I release it for computers or for the grPhone, do I spend lots of money for awesome graphics or do I want to have nice story in an action game? What age should the main audience have?
There’s a billion ways to satisfy the magazines – and once you’re done with that, you can start selling your game. With an endless variety of combinations there also is endless fun in this casual game! The best thing about this game is that you can play it for an hour every now and then without feeling bad when you have to stop!
